A major grain and cereal exporter in the United Kingdom was experiencing persistent breakage problems during long-haul
transportation to ports and on overseas shipments to Europe and the Middle East. Their existing woven bags lacked sufficient
tensile strength and durability, resulting in product spillage, contamination, and significant financial losses on every export
container.
Our technical team conducted a thorough analysis of their entire supply chain, from farm-level collection through port
loading and ocean freight. We recommended a custom PP woven bag with reinforced construction, featuring higher denier
yarn, enhanced seam strength, and optimized dimensions for efficient container loading. The bags were also treated with
UV stabilization to withstand prolonged exposure during outdoor storage at port facilities, and certified to meet UK and EU
food contact standards for grain products.
We performed rigorous drop tests, stacking tests, and UV exposure tests to verify the bags could withstand the demands of
their export logistics. After switching to our heavy-duty woven bags, the client experienced a 98% reduction in transportation
breakage and was able to confidently expand their export volume to markets across Europe and beyond,
without Packaging-related concerns.
